How It Works

From wizard to audiobook in minutes.

A six-step wizard builds the story

Choose the age range, how many characters, their names, the genre, the length, and a voice mode. Takes about two minutes.

The story is generated from scratch

No templates. An LLM writes a Story Bible first, establishing characters, arc, and world, then generates each chapter to follow it. Every story is genuinely new.

Voices are synthesised per character

Each character in the story gets a distinct voice. The audio is stitched together with natural pauses between chapters and voice switches.

Cover art is generated to match

A piece of artwork is generated for the story, styled to the genre, characters, and setting, and embedded in the audio file as album art.

Playback

Feels like it belongs on your phone.

The playback screen is built to feel like a proper music app, with chapter navigation, generated artwork, and controls that work the way you expect them to. Audio embeds the cover art so it shows up on your lock screen too.

The Community

Not a product. A circle.

Good Stories isn’t available to the public. It’s a small, close community of parents who use it regularly, submit feedback, and shape what gets built next.

Real influence

Community members vote on what gets changed. If a feature gets approved, it ships fast, usually within days.

Tight and deliberate

Keeping it small means feedback is real, not noise. Every person in the community has actually used it.

Access by application

New members join through a short application. It’s not about being selective. It’s about keeping the community useful for everyone in it.
